I paid less for gas yesterday than a week earlier, down from $2.299 to $2.249. Last weekend the price of BP gas was the same across a 60 mile swath of NC, by this weekend the station/ market that has had the lowest price for the past few months had broken ranks and cut the price by 5c. I am paying about 30c more than the cheapest price I paid a few weeks ago.

After most places have been going up for a few weeks, last few days have seen some prices come down.

One down the road has gone down to $2.15G with their card, whilst the bulk place has come down to $2.19.

Plenty of other places are 5-35 pennies more than that though.

I was gone for a month.

Gasoline skyrocketed. Costco Premium in Van Nuys was $3.33/gal yesterday. Most places seem to be about $3.50.

Curiously, diesel has stayed stable. I filled up the other day in Hollywood for $2.69.

In mid-February, Premium had been about $2.50 or so. Now gasoline is pricier than diesel. Go figure.

p.s. Just check the GassBuddy app. The lowest premium is $3.33/gal and the lowest diesel if $2.59.

Locally the prices peaked a couple of weeks ago and BP stations that were selling at $2.349-$2.359 are now down to $2.219-$2.239.

My favourite station in the next town hasn't moved from a week ago at $2.249, but another BP station in the same town, further back from the interstate, is down to $2.199 today, which hopefully indicates that my favourite station is due to cut prices. Based on the usual differential with other BP stations, I would expect to see a price of around $2.159 or slightly less.

Was a 1.17 most of last week up until this morning, now it's gone up to 1.21 per liter.

With Easter coming up in a week or 2, I expect prices will steadily increase to take advantage of the extra travel.

Look on the bright side, you could be paying $6.58 a gallon (US) as I've just done in Devon

Actually, given it was up close to $8.00/gal not long ago, that's not half bad

What's that in pence/L (can't be arsed doing a conversion ...)?

£1.17. Apparently it dropped to a quid a litre when the prices plummeted recently, I was paying £1.35/l back in November
