My mum was whinging about the cost of petrol in the UK...then I told her she does barely 1K miles a year and the bus is free as she's a OAP and she only uses the car for her once a week grocery shop and thinks going 10 miles is a bit extravagant.

We go no where and I'm happy if we only do 1K a month

Mileage you can get on a motorbike, might be the best option, considering the cost of groceries these days!

Yeah, I'm easily doing 1k or more a month just doing my daily driving. Everything is reasonably close to but I guess it all just adds up.

It's been fairly stagnant the last couple of weeks and then suddenly over the last 24 hours, it's gone down loads, first to $3.52 yesterday, $3.50 this morning and then $3.45G this afternoon.

If it goes up tomorrow, I'll be miffed

You need to come out to the PNW. Big refinery been out of action gas is around $4.20. Hopefully now it is back up and running prices will go down.

Some places have hit record gas prices.

No sign of it going down in price here, price varies between $4.39 and $4.48 for regular.

Filled up today in West Houston and it was $3.39 for regular. It's under $3.50 in most places round here. If it hit $3 that'd be nice...!

Down to $3.16 here, been steadily dropping for the last couple of weeks. Maybe we will see it drop through the $3 barrier.

$3.49 this morning at the "expensive" station close to work. We'll see what it is in my town tonight when I go to the grocery store.

Wife traveled up to PA for a wedding at the weekend and I was tracking prices through her route. Going down on Thurs/Friday, the best price I could find was $3.01 around Harrisonburg, Va.

Today, it's $2.96, so it finally broke the $3 barrier. Let's see how long it lasts before they find another reason to increase the price!

That can't be because of Obama's energy policies but every time the price rises, it is because of Obama's energy policy.
