Price of food in Brit Stores

I feel guilty asking people to fetch them, it's such a big box, it's not like bringing a bag of midget gems.

Our base is teeny compared to most and it has more German items than British I think.
I've always made my own curry though, I brought some spices from Asian grocers the last time I was in Glasgow and got some more in Jackson, MS in a Indian/Pakisatani shop the last time I was there. Beats the jars anyday!
Walmart sells naan bread, not bad if you grill it and put lashings of butter on it.

I never like Naan bread from the store, only in restaurants. We can get Sharwoods popadoms here though, so thats good.

Wholefoods have a good weird looking popadum that's pretty cheap...but you know you've been here to long when you wipe it with oil and chuck it in the microwave

I missed my Nescafe Gold Blend.. but whoa....$12.50 for a 110g jar from the Brit store. I bought one for old times sake anyway. Never again though.
The Brit store here in Phoenix is a dusty sad overpriced mess and the bloke running it has zero customer skills.
Anyway, I still keep the jar on my desk at work to hold my pens. People always comment on the £2.59 sign on the front. I paid enough for the bloody thing, I want my money's worth out of it.

I always used to drink Nescafe Gold Blend in the UK,now I get Nescafe Classic in Walmart,I find thats very similar....the Cost Plus store near me closed down over a year ago,but everything was SO expensive,it was ridiculous...found Schnucks has an 'imported food' aisle and they have Bordens Digestives which are about $1 cheaper than the McVities were in Cost Plus, and I don't taste any difference!

We have Fresh and Easy here in AZ too and I quite like the place, but I never see any Brit food in there. I was very excited at first when I learned they were coming to town (being owned by Tesco and all) but it seems like the same stuff everywhere else, with just slight differences.
Haven't been there for a couple of months. I'll pop in on my next day off and see what they have.

Heinz Beanz -- real ones.
Ploughman's Pickle -- not Branston but it's okay.
PG Tips -- 80 pyramid bags.
Patek Cook-In sauce -- couple of the milder varieties.
Marmite -- small bottles.
I'm sure there's other stuff in there, too. Can't remember the prices but they must have been okay otherwise I would have remembered them.
You can also get Tetley British Blend tea at Frys, which is okay.
