I find Heinz beans too sweet, and vastly over-rated. My favourites are Branston Beans, but on trips home I'll even grab Sainsburys or Waitrose own-brand before Heinz.
Luckily my trips home have been frequent enough that I've probably bought only 2 or 3 tins of over-priced beans locally since I moved here 5 years ago.

The only thing I still buy from my local Brit food store is a once-yearly Christmas pudding (too lazy to make my own...). The rest is so overpriced I just rely on bringing back stuff from UK trips and what I can pick up at places like Cost Plus and a local Indian store. However, bringing things back from the UK has now got a little more dubious now that most airlines are now charging for a second bag on transatalantic flights.

I missed my Nescafe Gold Blend.. but whoa....$12.50 for a 110g jar from the Brit store. I bought one for old times sake anyway. Never again though.
The Brit store here in Phoenix is a dusty sad overpriced mess and the bloke running it has zero customer skills.
Anyway, I still keep the jar on my desk at work to hold my pens. People always comment on the £2.59 sign on the front. I paid enough for the bloody thing, I want my money's worth out of it.

We have an airforce base nearby so I have a couple of friends who bring me things from there, I get typhoo tea mostly, sadly they stopped stocking digestives.
My husband has been given several jars of pickled onions since being here but they always looked really off, with suspicous looking little spots on them

That is one of the better things about shopping on base, I would say the one here has about 35 regular Brit items, inc Robinsons, mushy peas, oxo, bisto, pickled onions, salad cream, tea, chocolate etc. Then if you are really lucky, you can get there when they have a few rare items, hobnobs, digestives, penguins, curry ketchup yummy!
I've always made my own curry though, I brought some spices from Asian grocers the last time I was in Glasgow and got some more in Jackson, MS in a Indian/Pakisatani shop the last time I was there. Beats the jars anyday!
Walmart sells naan bread, not bad if you grill it and put lashings of butter on it.

Our base is teeny compared to most and it has more German items than British I think.
I've always made my own curry though, I brought some spices from Asian grocers the last time I was in Glasgow and got some more in Jackson, MS in a Indian/Pakisatani shop the last time I was there. Beats the jars anyday!

I guess we are really lucky around here, I can find most things I want fairly easy.
The one thing that kind of bugs me is the inability to buy everything in one store, chinese, thai, indian... Easily available in the UK, but I end up going to around 3 different stores to do what I would consider a normal weekly shop.

Amazon for most stuff, free shipping if you do and then cancel that regular service jobby.
When heading back from Maine though, we check out the place in Freeport and pick up stuff on sale, Hobnobs for a couple bucks instead of $6 and Twiglets, a huge cylinder box for $4 and Robinsons but that's about it.

the brittish store near me has a lot of good stuff and the price is good as well, they even supply a nearby Brittish restaurant as well
