Default Present ideas for an expats children

Hello, I'm still in the UK but my brother now lives in the US. He has two children who have never been to the uk. My brother is coming over for a flying visit and I'd like to send back some very British sweets (because my son finds being given Hershey bars etc so exciting).
What do you/your children miss? What sweets can't you get? ie if I sent out Smarties or sherbert dabs or curley wurleys or something would they be old news?
All advice very welcome!

What a nice idea! My kids suggest Curly Wurlies, Love Hearts, Dairy Milk and those little iced things, I think they're called iced gems.

Things that we like having sent, so I'm sure your bro's kids would to!
Chunky Kit-Kats
Cadburys with the Creme egg filling... (you can get Cream eggs here at easter - but they are a bit smaller strangely)!
Harribo Kid mix... good for road trips
Percy Pigs from M&S
Love Hearts
Maltesers

as well as the above suggestions!

Both my dual citizenship nephews who've always lived in the States love anything that defines them as British. For example, during the last world cup we got them both custom England footie shirts with their names and ages on the back - they've worn them to death! Last time I visited I brought them both nice black cotton baseball caps with a small union jack on the front, which were also popular with my sis who's paranoid about them catching the sun. Next time another big sporting event comes up, we'll probably get them another shirt - I meant to get something sorted during the Rugby World Cup but didn't get around to it.

Other than that, their dad's made sure that they both love Marmite so none of us are allowed to visit without at least a few jars - I took them all a few jars of the Guinness Marmite recently and am wondering whether I should get them some of the upcoming champagne Marmite, too: http://www.metro.co.uk/news/article....&in_page_id=34
(they're only young and can't stand 'lovie' things so maybe not). Another thing we're not allowed through the front door without is just simply honking great bars of Cadburys Dairy Milk. But you can also get big bags of fun-sized Cadburys stuff in supermarkets, or just generally fun-sized Brit sweets, so that might be a good idea considering there's more of a choice.

In addition to sweets, and depending on how old the kids are, if they are into Thomas the Tank Engine or anything like that I would consider going out and buying (every week or two) in the run up to their visit the kid's comics for those shows. You can't get anything quite like it in the US.

Cadburys Creme Eggs and Mini Eggs are sold everywhere for Easter here too. And Maltesers are the same as an American candy called Whoppers. Dairy Milk is on sale (although made by Hersheys and slightly different tasting) in most supermarkets. If you want to give them something they really never saw don't get them any of this!
Oh and we have white chocolate KitKat Chunkys.

Have to say whoppers are nowhere near as good as maltesers. Whoppers are nasty.

Have to go along with all that's already been mentioned including the kids comics, my kids get those in the mail from my sister occasionally. She also sends t-shirts etc with Union Jack's on them and anything Doctor Who related as my boys are mad a out it.
