Postage Rate to the UK?
I've just written out a couple of birthday cards which I need to send to England and for the life of me I can't remember what the basic postage rate is to send airmail to the UK.
(When I go to the PO the clerk usually prints off a sticky label for postage and tosses it straight into the bin behind, but I usually have a variety of weights and sizes of things to post at the same time). Any idea what the current basic rate is for the lightest weight and if possible, the next rate up? I have some old stamps that I may as well use up. Thanks! :) PS: Does anyone know of the last posting dates for Christmas mail to the UK? I keep hearing about a possible postage strike in Blighty over the busy Xmas period, don't know if I should start posting gifts in the next couple of weeks or not, although I often buy stuff via Amazon.co.uk and they're no longer using the Royal Mail. |
Re: Postage Rate to the UK?
I posted a couple of cards last week and it was $0.98 from CA to the UK. Can't help on the other questions!

Re: Postage Rate to the UK?
There have been postal strikes here on and off since August, though I think most of them were centred on London. I've started assuming that there is no postal delivery so I can be pleasantly surprised when we do receive something.

Re: Postage Rate to the UK?
I will be buying all my Christmas cards here in the UK in the next few days. I will leave the ones for the UK here because of the postal strike. I'm taking boxes of HAPPY CHRISTMAS  cards back to the US with me...I refuse to send Happy Holiday cards at Christmas. :frown:

Re: Postage Rate to the UK?
Just wanted to add that the price has increased from 80 cents in the last few years! Sent a card last week and couldn't believe the price jump.
