I’m not the owner of these sites nor am I the webmaster. I am only the “Queen Mother of Nag here to lay a guilt trip on one and all.

New to the wonderful world of US Immigration and Naturalization Services and the mind boggling forms, petitions and applications you need to complete and submit to have your foreign fiancée or spouse live with you in marital happiness within the borders of the US? Or are you an old hand at the process now and have completed one or more of the various steps along the yellow brick road and have met with and made friends with the Wizard behind Door Number 3.

I've filled out various forms to submit my experiences on the kamya site over the
years. There are several different sets of data sorted by office, so it may be that
mine went into one that I haven't happened to find the link for, but I've never seen
them posted.

It's possible that the lack of new data that's bothering Rita reflects the
webmaster's decreasing interest or time available.

Tish is good about updating. However, she did have a problem with receiving data a while ago and it might well have been during the time you posted your experiences. I had advised people of this problem and on Tish's advice reminded them that they are free to, and should, e-mail her directly with the information and she will place it in the correct avenue. Their e-mail address is obtainable on the the website and only a click away. It is: [email protected]

On a sort of side note, I've been tossing around the idea of creating a site for our
experiences. I'm a back end database programmer so I could actually cook up something
fairly interesting. Automatic updates, fill out your info, hit the submit button and
its automatically there for review straight away.

Question is, is another site really needed? I'd also hate to draw traffic away from
sites where people have already put so much effort in. Would another site work
alongside the existing ones....

Interested in peoples thoughts...

I would ask you instead...

1. Are you willing to commit to this for a year or two, hopefully more?
2. Are you willing to stay with the NG and promote it?

If so, go for it. Mike

In my opinion, no, another site isn't needed. Perhaps you could offer to help one of
the existing ones.

Of course, I would consider it a very long term project. I already have suitable
webspace that is advert free.

    > 2. Are you willing to stay with the NG and promote it?

Definately, I've had so much help here I wish to help provide people after me similar
if not better help. There would be links to all the current sites that are about as
well. I have no wish to take from what other people have already done, but I feel I
can perhaps make something that would bring all those sites together into one huge
resource. I also feel that with the back end programming I can make something that
will take the burden of maintenance off people who may not always have the time to
continue it. Creating a database driven site will mean that its merely a case of
reviewing what people have submitted and maybe adding comments where info has changed
and or removing unsuitable items which is bound to happen.

I would like to add a timeline section, and experience section that people can
update, but worry about what effect it might have on sites like Kamya. Maybe I'm
being big headed about what the site might become but it's something that concerns
me. Will people go and post their experiences in several different places?

Morkai
