Have you checked craigslist yet? When I was letting my house out, I saw that there are lots of short term opportunites.
I suppose you'd need furnished? Look in the sublet category. You may want to consider a long-stay hotel instead.

Hope you enjoyed your last visit! :)

Ruby, I just remembered that you don't use forums a lot. Here is a direct link to the craigslist you need: http://portland.craigslist.org/sub/

These are like small ads. Please be very careful about sharing personal info on there, even by email, and be cautious about sending money in advance. You can post here for more help if you find something you like.

You didn't say what you are looking for, but I see a couple of interesting things. One extended stay suite is $750/month. You could ride the MAX train from downtown to Gresham.

Hi Ruby.. my memory was jogged by reviewing your past posts. You can access them through yoru profile (click on your username over there on the left).
Plus I'm in Portland and not many people post about it.

If you're only coming for a couple of weeks, I think an extended stay hotel will be your best bet. They are for people sent on temporary work assignments, usually, and are more of a little home away from home vs a motel. And, easier to find and use than a short term let.

Let us know if you need some help. :)
