Police record

I need some info.
I am filing I-130/485 and will need to get hold of my police record. I am a UKC but since may 2001 i have only spent 8 weeks in the u.k, the rest in the U.S.
I know how to get hold of my police record from the u.k, BUT will i need one for my time in the U.S and if so how do i go about that, i have no SSN and have moved around alot, but i have never been arrested anywhere, ever. Any advice (im in Texas now).

Hi:

A difference between consular processing abroad and the I-130/485 adjustment route in the US. For consular processing you have to get the police clearances -- for the adjustment in the US, you don't.

Does that help clear up things?
