Police CErtificate in Canada

Police CErtificate in Canada
In Canada there are two types of police certificates, one is name check based and other is finger print based. I will need to get one in Canada since I lived there for more than 6 months. Which one will I need for consular interview (family based immigration) in Manila, Philippines, name check based or finger print based?

Kinda late maybe, but I just spotted this post. 
I was in the same situation as you, immigrantapplicant; I got the fingerprint one.
