Re: Please will someone explain the L1 Visa ?
L1 is called intra company transfer visa. There are 2 types of L1 visas: L1A
is for managers and L1B is for employees with special knowledge. This visa is for companies who have a division / subsidiary / sister company etc. in the US and is for transfer of Managers (L1A) or special knowledge (L1B) personal. The restriction is that the person transferring should be working for at least a year for the company before the transfer can take place. I don't think you situation will enable you to get an L1 visa.
