Lightbulb Please Everyone Post What You Know

I have heard a few people saying some embassies are denying visa or "investigating" cases further (whatever reason they may give). If you yourself or someone you know has experienced this, please tell us the story including the country in question and the excuse given. I would like for us to summarize what we know so those of us waiting have a good idea what we are looking at.

Also, if you have been blessed with a visa recently, please tell us what country gave it to you and how long it took.

Please help with what you know. I have my 1st NOA on my K-3 and am trying to finish my Affidavit of Support. I worry that after all of this, my husband will be denied or put off at the embassy in Morocco.

I think if we can compile a list of counties we know are not giving people trouble with visas and one for the countries that are giving alot hassle, we will have an idea if it is because of Sept. 11th or just a "normal" slow down of the US Goverment.
If visas come fast in London but not in Turkey, we have a good idea. If they are slow everywhere, that sounds typical.

Thanks so much to everyone.

Well,
I have posted a few times here...
If you have not seen my previous postings please let me know; I will email
them to you later.
We are going under "Administrative Processing" or "Security Check". The
embassy is: Ankara Turkey. My fiancée is from Iran and I applied from CSC in
February 2nd, 2002!!!!!
It's been a month, and we are hoping within the next month they are going to
send us some kind of information regarding our K1 visa.

Well I've heard about it and I keep reading about it on this
newsgroup. As far as I know these new procedures only apply to certain
countries (i.e. Russia, China, Egypt etc.).
In addition, I got my K1 visa on 08/27/2002 after a successful
interview - no waiting. I'm from Slovenia and was dealing with the
embassy in Zagreb, Croatia. Just thought I'd let you know.......

I know of an Egyptian who had a three month delay from the time of his interview for the fiance visa before he recieved the visa. He had been in Spain at the same time Mohammed Atta was there in July 2001. As soon as the Spanish government handed over their report to the US government and they saw he had nothing to do with Atta, they gave him the visa.
