Plane Tickets
I always use BA when i fly from London to Baltimore. The return ticket is generally cheaper than a one way ticket. I will shortly be traveling one way to the USA to join my fiance, and will not require the return leg.
Is there any comeback by BA on me if i buy a return and do not use the return leg ?, a strange question possibly but any responce woul be appreciated

No, they don't care, most airlines over book their planes anyway hoping people won't turn up. It would be nice if you told them you weren't turning up for the return but in reality I don't think they would give a rats ass!

Thanks Patrick,
i didn't want to have to subscribe to 10 years of 'Highlife' flight magazine, or suffer the 'sit next to a new baby on the plane for the rest of my life' penalty so i thought i would check first.
Thanks for your response

just couple of days ago I was asking exactly the opposite question. I found a very cheap one way only ticket and I was worried about security checks and all kind of problems at the airport (both)... Maybe i´ll also find a cheap round trip.
Anyway I don´t seem to find a friendly POE near where I go. Is it hard to get an EAD once you are inside ? very hard ?
Also, what is a stamp ? at the k1poelist.com they mention a stamp and I do not know what it is.
regards,

I did exactly the same when I flew here to Phoenix last year and they
haven't found me yet! ;-)

It is a red stamp in your passport. For example when I entered at DFW at
end of 2000 on K1 they placed a red stamp in my passport which included the
words 'Employment authorized'. They did not give me an EAD card. At that
time POEs varied more than now, some gave a card, some a stamp, some
nothing, hence the tracking of which was issued per POE on that web site.

BA won't do anything. This topic is often discussed at rec.travel.air.
In many cases, tickets have some worth for up to a year or more after
you buy them.
For instance, even on many discounted tickets, you can change your
return date even after your booked flight has departed. How are they
going to know what is in your mind?
However, in many cases, if you look in the right places, you can get a
discounted one way ticket at a lower price. However, since there are now
$199 return fares from many places in the US to the UK, and I assume
good deals the other way, it would be difficult to find a one way ticket
to beat the price.
