Opps, some clarification might be in order. By "dark horse", I meant someone in the wings, someone who is waiting but hasn't yet come forward or attracted attention, an as yet "unknown", could be black or white, and from any kind of background, rich, poor, etc, i.e., not related to color in any way. Just someone who is still an "unknown", not yet seen or in the public eye.
