Well I've already met the lovely Chrizzy from this forum, she's a lovely lady, and her daughter too...so that's two Brits I know here...I did follow a Scottish woman around Walmart yesterday for a bit, but she was very involved in what bedding accessories she needed and was telling her man all about it, I didn't like to pounce on her and ask if she wanted to be my new friend...but maybe next time I hear a Brit accent I will...I've done it before, I'll most likely do it again

So..spoke to Mark and we will are up for it....wasn't sure as we have had friends visiting for the past 2 weeks and they just left on Tuesday so have been recovering! But we think a couple beers with some good people might just do the trick!!!

Until a few years ago I never give a throught to finding any other Brits...our one English friend moved to AZ a few years ago..she worked a lot so we never got together much....I would chat to the English guy who owned the English tea shop...they have now moved back to the UK...apart from that we had become very American and spend a lot of time with family...
When we got a place in FL and found other Brits.. we rejoined the human race and had coffee mornings... visits to each others homes for the odd evening...and dinners out with friends...stuff we got out of the hang of doing...
I have lovely Cape neighbours...but a lot are in their 80s...and most of the mums I knew from High School have left the Cape now their kids have left school..
One thing I find here is the weeks goes so quickly...I was going to spend the summer with a friend a few towns away...here is Sept and I've not seen her for months..I'm sure days are shorter here....
I'm off to FL next week...can't wait..
