Default Phoenix British Shops

Not sure where to post this .. but does anyone know of a British Shop to buy British gifts, candies, and such in Phoenix ... or a good place to order from online?

Any suggestions on what to buy my British friends that they miss from there? I know they LOVE digestives and gummy babies!

Thanks,
Mich

Been to the Codfather several times. YUM! Fish (cod or haddock) and chips (hand-cut) taste just like back home. Likewise, sausage rolls and pasties. Slurp! In fact, everything I've had there tastes great! They've always had Walkers crisps when I've been, but not all flavors. Never seen Twiglets though, but that doesn't mean to say they don't stock them.

If you're looking for British/Irish style bacon in downtown PHX, I can recommend this shop. http://site.themeatshopaz.com/Home.html Tried the bacon, but not the sausages. Very good, and best price around that I've found.$5.75 per lb.

Another bacon source in Tempe which also has good Irish bacon and sausages ,http://www.theirishgifthouse.com/default.html

Enjoy!

Just remembered another place. AJ's in Chandler does some British stuff, including cheese. They also have wonderful lamb chops. Just make sure you take out a second mortgage when you go.

I still haven't made it to the places referenced here, but I did make a great discovery over the holidays in Phoenix ... Mekong Plaza in Mesa. It's a brand new Asian mall, and has a great dim-sum serving Chinese restaurant, and several Vietnamese and Thai places, as well as one Filipino place (probably 10 restaurants in all). It also had a fantastic (large, clean, etc) Asian grocery selling all manner of Asian ingredients (and western). A Thai foot massage place just opened this week too! If you've ever been to China King in Chandler for Dim Sum, or to Lee Lee Market also in Chandler, this place is better. It's also much better than the 'Chinese Cultural Center' (which is where I was first directed when seeking Asian food in PHX).

I could probably live out the rest of my life happily ignoring Fish n'Chips, but I'm constantly craving Asian food having spend 26+ years in the Bay Area! If I could only find a place in PHX selling roasted, Vietnamese-style crab, my life would be (almost !) complete! Speaking of Crab, I did find 'Pappadeaux' seafood restaurant in north Phoenix (just off 17) and it sells GREAT king crab legs, as well as lobster, etc. Has the feel of a chain but it's the only one in AZ (more in TX, I think).

If you like Pho you should try Noodles Ranch (Scottsdale and Thomas).
