Yep, I think the Oil Companies got the taste for high prices, last year. Don't think we will ever see 90c or $1.50 ever again.

Supply and demand is what they say which I interpret we have it, you want it, and we will charge what we want. Probably paying a surcharge because Gordon put a 'windfall atx' on them in the UK.

We paid 99 cents for premium when we first came here in 1995.

On Monday my local gas station was $2.45 for regular, yesterday it was $2.58 and tonight its $2.63. I have noticed that Cowboys in this area are no longer 10 cents or more cheaper than the big guys.

I filled up on Sunday and for "shits and grins" my husband converted it to UK prices. I nearly had a stroke. Over 100 quid to fill my tank. Having said that wouldn't I just love it if my Stodge got 40 to the gallon.

The excuse two weeks ago why gas was going up round here was because it was Spring Break.

£100 for gas, I think maybe he did the sum backwards. At an exchange rate of say $1.75 = $175, wow thats a hell of a gas tank. Or maybe not. My 4.6 V8 Explorer, takes 20 gals.

I'm saying nothing about what it would cost me to fill my ve-hic-ule up in the UK. Gotta go a bit of a barney going in between Gruff and UserName. Back later.

Guess which oil company's profits will be in the many billions later this year. Any excuse to put up prices. They're making gas for summer driving, they're making gas for winter driving, it's Memorial day, it's labor day. What's the next pathetic excuse the oil company's will come up with.

We know that Petrol/Gas in Europe, certainly the UK is highly taxed & added duty, hence high prices. A little plus, pretty good roads highways etc. WHAT the hell, is going on here, the Gov aren't increasing the prices, must be the CARTEL Gasoline Co's.

My tank was not quite empty and I put in 20.699 gallons. Working along the lines of the UK gallon and there being 4.546 litres to the gallon, 20 gallons would work out at 90.92 litres. The last time I spoke with a friend in the UK regular was 99p a litre which rougly works out to 90.00 pounds, so hubby was approx a tenner out on his calculations. lolol Shouldn't be too hard on him because he was not using a calculator. lolol

$1.76 here on the island. It costs me just over $50 to fill the minivan.

When we leave the island we always fill up in NJ. cheapest place around
