Pet transport companies

Pet transport companies
I need some help. Hopefully for the last time!
Everything is done, and now I'm just worried about my pets. Of the dozens of quote requests I made with various companies, I only got one reply, and now they've stopped responding to their emails too.
So, why are so few businesses wanting to take my money? Is there so much money in pet transporting that they can all afford to just completely ignore me?
So, the help I need is, has anyone used a pet courier service recently, and do you have any recommendations? Chances are I've sent them an email, or tried to call, because I've tried a lot.
If you're thinking of replying "why not try taking them yourself?", we discovered (after booking the tickets) that Virgin don't take pets. I tried to call them a few days ago and was told sorry, but no.

Sent two different quote requests to them and got no reply, but I'll give it another go.

Check your junk mail - it's possible replies are going in there. I seem to recall I had that issue.

Not a thing. I did discover lots of interesting things for sale in my spam folder, but nothing from them. It's seriously every single company I've asked to help apart from one didn't reply, though. It's pretty weird.

It was 2 1/2 years since we used them - quite possible she has left the company.
If email doesn't seem to be working try their Facebook or just give them a call to check they are getting your requests.

Back in 2014, we used PetAirUK and they were great. Handled the whole process brilliantly and really looked after our rather large dog. I would recommend them, expensive, but worth it.

Re: Pet transport companies
Just to add to this, on Friday, I collected my lovely pussy cat from Miami. We sent him with Virgin Atlantic.
Looked at various companies who will deal with the shipping of pets and they were about double the cost of doing it ourselves through Virgin (£550 instead of £1000 from memory). The crate to ship him was about £40.
To be honest, we could have got a smaller crate for him but felt it was nicer for him to have a bit more space etc.
The girls in the office in the UK were fantastic, patient and helpful. I'd recommend them for moving any of my animals in the future.
Poor cat is jet lagged right now - enjoying the super bowl next to me...I say enjoying, but he is passed out after a nice brush!
