Personal Belongings Shipment Canada to US
I have a question regarding moving my stuff to the Land of the Free and Home of
the Brave.
I have a van reserved and the plan is to take two shipments, one now and one after
the Advanced Parole is granted.
Now, my question is, in this first trip, what will I need to present to Customs at
the 49th? Just my visa and brown envelope?
Second, when I come back for the next load, after the Advanced Parole, what
documentation should I present at that time as proof that what I am bringing into the
US is in truth my possessions?
Many thanks,
William

I've asked a similar question just recently In my case, my fiance's father is
bringing his things (driving them down) for him, since our money situation is REALLY
tight. I have no clue what to tell his dad about how to make sure things go smoothly
at customs.
If you find out anything, let me know. And if I find out anything, I'll do
the same!

My experience is 4 years old now, but I don't know that it's much different except I
took everything myself when I crossed the border. You can read about it at:

Best of luck to all, Ian
