Default Personal Allowances on a UK goverment service pension

Hello,

With all the talk of the possible withdrawal of personal allowances for ex pats, can somebody give me clarification on the current standing?
If you are resident in the USA and receive a UK government service pension that is taxed in the UK, are you still eligible to claim the personal allowance there?

Advice would be most welcomed.

Thank you

PS

Yes you are allowed the UK personal tax allowance. From what you have written I assume you are not a US citizen.

Yes residency and citizenship are crucial when working out how to tax Government pensions.
