Peperami in US?

Peperami in US?
A slightly embarrassing problem - we seem to be in the land of processed meat snacks but I can't find anything as good as a Peperami. Slim Jims just don't cut the mustard - those cow faces are not a patch on a good old mish-mash of donkey parts. Has anyone managed to find them anywhere...? (particularly Houston...)
Cheers,
Doug.

Re: Peperami in US?
Thanks for help and sympathy. This is a very serious problem indeed. I have just finished a Frank's Red Hot Original Sausage Stick which was pretty much a mush of animal bits in an edible plastic tube (at least I hope it was edible). Far from Red Hot too... a black Peperami would give it a serious run for its money...
May have to call home and beg for a consignment of donkey sausage.

I had some lovely stuff yesterday, too. Pappy Kershenstine's Steak in a Bag, out of Mississippi.

Most of the big brand stuff is made on the same lines as the off brand stuff. Next time you're in WW, pick up a bag of Jack Links and look for the USDA approval stamp. It'll have a serial # for the plant. Look around the off brands for the same # and you'll be getting the same jerky from the same line.
