Pay scale website
www.payscale.com
Thought that some might find it interesting, for me, it seems fairly accurate because I know how much I'm being screwed by compared to the average.
Bit of a hassle, and the free version is a bit basic, but if your moving into a new area, fudge it and see what it says for the area, though it really depends on how many people have filled it out to see how accurate it is, but in my field and area, there was quite a large number, which weren't bad.

Re: Pay scale website
Thanks for the link, Bob. It cheered my Friday up!
According to the 6 people in my area reporting, my total pay is in the 65th percentile... but my annual bonus SUCKS!
Given that it's annual bonus time soon, perhaps I'll have to anonymously send a copy to my manager. Like that would make a difference.

My only problem I had with it, the part it asks about job title 5 years ago, can't put student or unemployed in or it has a fit

Right on the money for me, including bonus and profit sharing. Also translates to the same on all three if I were to relocate to DC

Re: Pay scale website
I couldn't do comparisons with other places, it just keeps taking me back to my current results (which suck BTW, I pay myself about half the lowest bracket!)
