Nasty news about Hurricane Isabel down Patrick's way. Anyone have any news to say they're ok????

Havent heard anything from them, but a friend who lives in Atlantic beach which is just down the coast was evacuated yesterday evening, shes now 20 miles inland and they have no power.

Phoned Patrick last night. He and Ellen are staying put at the beach. People in his town had a voluntary evacuaton order so that's why he stayed (and the animals too).

That was yesterday. Now Isabel's made her way inland, he and Ellen may have changed their plans.

The electricity's gone out momentarily twice already today. I heard that people in Cary have lost the cable service. That was a couple of hours ago.

You would think that he is the only effected by the conditions.

Why would people hear from him? If he has any brains he will be a few miles away worrying about his home and not posting email on this forum. Oh, its Patrick - good point.

Have you not heard that hurricanes don't go near houses that have people in them? Yes they completely pass over them with not a hint of a slight breeze

You really are a ****ing pratt, there is no way around it is. My wife had an operation a week ago and is on bedrest - everyone knows this because it has been on the forum. We made a decision that it would be easier to stay than put my wife through a couple of hours drive (and away from her doctor).

Personally my wifes arse would be getting in the car if it saved her life, but if she's in severe danger from travelling then fair enough.

Glad to hear that you are OK Patrick. I assume that you still have a roof, and as you've been on-line power too. Was it really as bad as the TV tried to make out? ... creaking houses and trees being torn up, or just a "really bad storm".
