Now that me (UK Passport) and my SO (US Passport) both have global entry and Heathrow has those gates, we never take longer than 3 mins to clear either border

It's an interesting question. I would guess the next time you try to enter the UK on the non UK passport you may be sent to the UK equivalent of secondary, to which you then tell them about citizenship, they verify, and then have to let you enter. Probably some p*ssed off border officers in the process.
