Passport Renewal Question
I am trying to renew my United Kingdom passport. It expired in 2003 and I now live in Florida. I have some bank accounts in the UK and have to meet with some of the banks so I can mature some accounts, however I do not want any issues with my bank accounts if I show my US passport such as tax implications until I have spoken to a solicitor.
So when renewing my UK passport, does it make a difference if you state that you live in the UK or if you live in the USA? I am retired.

With regard to passport renewal you answer all questions honestly. If you live in the USA that is the answer.

Re: Passport Renewal Question
With a passport that has been expired 17 years you may have to provide additional documentation for the renewal and it might take a little longer.

Re: Passport Renewal Question
Close them and/or roll them over into a new account or investment. It usually applies more to term deposits, which are not commonly offered these days by high street banks and building societies, but used to be more common - similar to a certificate of deposit, you agree to tie up your funds for a fixed period, which could be as long as five years, or as little as three months, but I am sure that FBE has only stretched the usage slightly to mean "close or roll over" the accounts.

Apply for your UK passport here: https://www.gov.uk/overseas-passports
Given your British passport expired over 10 years ago you will likely be treated as a first time applicant.
