Hello All,

I live in the US with a British passport. I sent last week by priority mail my passport and renewal form and the confirmation receipt shows they tried to deliver Saturday by mail, however the business was closed. You would think the post office would know that. It says that they left a notice and if noone picks it up within 15 days they will return to the sender!!!!

Does anyone know if they will automatically try on a business day or does passport control have to pick it up?

Hi, the same thing happened to me last week. I received the same notice on Saturday, but the postman just re-delivered the application on Monday, so the same thing should happen to you also.

seems money was taken out of the credit card already! mailed to Washington 15th of March. Was yours taken out yet? Wondering if it will be just a few weeks now?

I was actually sending some missing documents a few weeks ago. I sent my renewal application in mid-Feb, received a missing documents notice early March, and just received my passport last week. You can look into the thread "UK Passport Timeline" to get a better idea.

received the passport March 19th!,,,,still waiting for the old passport. This means it took EXACTLY one month after Washington received my paperwork.
