Hell, don't know why I got this link, but thought some people might find it interesting "10 steps to school year success":

Must be something subliminal about these emails, but here's another one,

Right I confess, I am fed up with "parenting". Kids 19,17 and 15, by now I would have hoped they would be fairly independent individuals and to be honest, most of the time they are. However, due to the lack of public transport in this area of Texas (none in the immediate vicinity), I am still stuck with being taxi driver to the 2 youngest of the brood. If we were back in Scotland, they would be taking buses everywhere and more importantly, able to work.

"parenting" sucks. You think you have got it right, then the little blighters prove you wrong. Brought my 3 up all the same but middle child, son, has been a parent's nightmare. Fortunately, this last year has been the best so far in the last 5yrs, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Long may it continue.

If anyone watches the Dr Phil show, there are some useless parents on it. One couple could not/would not control their 3 1/2 year old son. He had extreme temper tantrums and was hurting his older sister until she bled. I'm sure they did not set limits for him when he was younger and now they are paying the price. I agree that teenagers sometimes are a law unto themselves, but as you said you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Most teens come out of the tunnel as decent, considerate human beings.

Yup, know about that, some parents don't have a clue, the missus worked at a pre-school last year, we lived above it, so i had a small insight to some of the horrors
