Post our timeline

Our timeline, filing in San Diego was similar:

Filed I-485 August 1999 (San Diego)
AOS Interview Sept 16, 2002 (Charleston, SC)
AOS approved Sept 28, 2002 as Conditional Permanent Resident (sigh)

To be fair, we did have to move in March 2001 which probably slowed the process for us somewhat. Hope you get your interview soon!

Angry Re: our timeline

Sorry! That post was intended as a response to the thread about AOS interview timelines in Chicago. No idea why the forum posted it as its own thread...

Hi Lyanne,
I remember that you filed your I-485 about the same time we filed ours
in San Diego (1999). Marcia also received a conditional permanent
resident card even though we had been married over 2 years at the time
of our AOS (March 2002 in San Diego) and had been specifically told by
our immigration officer at the interview that she would receive the
10-year card. Are you planning on doing anything about it? We
returned her card to San Diego INS and filed Form I-90 to have it
replaced in June, but in hindsight that may have been a mistake. As
is typical for us, the I-90 seems to have disappeared and no one at
San Diego INS can tell us what if anything is happening.

Hi Mark,

We're going to try and get my conditional status fixed, mostly to avoid another $300 in filing fees in 21 months (for myself and our K2). The Charleston office doesn't seem that busy compared to most others - no lineups out the door anyways - so we'll probably go in with papers in hand and try to get it resolved. Hopefully that will be soon. We need to juggle Mark's work schedule (nuts), our oldest ds' half-day kindergarten pickup and our twin toddlers.

Hope San Diego figures out what's going on with Marcia's GC! Please post what happens - I'm interested to see how they fix it.
