Well arrived home to find a letter from Matt Udall. He sent us the letter he received from NYC INS regarding Jim's conditional status as a permanent resident. It was confirmed that Jim was granted CPR status on 8/11 and that was 6 weeks shy of our second wedding anniversary.

Thanks so much for your assistance Matt. Jim and I appreciate your help in getting at least one question answered by INS.

Now if only the bloody green card would arrive (9 months waiting) or that Vermont would reply to the formal request for information. If nothing by Monday, we will enlist the aid of our congresswoman. It can't hurt especially with Jim's new status in the US voluntary military status in the Guard.

I guess it's congrats 'cause you're not in limbo anymore.

Though those 6 weeks... damn

Matt dropped out of the newsgroup. Reasons are varied. Knowing Matt, he would welcome the visit even if he is not participating in the group any longer.

Ah ha .. I wasn't sure what happened to him.. He did me a favour before of printing
off some forms I needed when I lived in the area of his office... Pretty neat dude..
He offered to take me and Jen out for super one night.. I should have taken him up on
that offer.. Very nice person in real life.. Laid back cigar chomper..
