I can't help but think of all those who will never get to be with their loved ones
again. Still, I am glad my husband and baby were with me when I watched this horror
unfold - and I was worried for my children already at school. I sympathize with you
Mike - the need to be with the ones you love is even stronger at a time like this.
Take Care. Shelley

I work on the waterfront in Jersey City and was unfortunately on the roof of our
building (1/2 mile from the World Trade Center) when the plane flew overhead and hit
the 2nd tower. We stayed up there and watched as the fires grew and the two towers
collapsed, before we were evacuated. The sickening feeling in my stomach that
someone could do this to innocent people continues to haunt me, 6 hours after this
has happened.

Chris and I pray for all the people that have been lost in this tragedy.

I would just like to say that I am thinking of everyone (as is my partner) that has
been affected by this plainly sickening attack!! Our thoughts are greatly with
those that have been directly affected by this, and also with each and every one of
you I am sure that this has affected all of us in one way or another as it
really makes you think, it is especially hard to be away from the ones you love at
a moment like this!!

I know I'm new on this board but really wanted to come in and say something...I know
that many of us in England are horrified and have been watching the news ever since
we heard of this tragedy...I am just lost for words!!

Take care each and every one of you Kerry (UK) Dave (US)

I got in from India to be with my fiance last Tuesday, the 4th of Sept. Yesterday I
was in the middle of my mid-morning chores when Craig called me from work to switch
on the TV to watch the news. It was possibly the worst thing I've ever witnessed...so
wicked and pointless and so utterly heart wrenching when you think of all the
families shattered. I was just glad to be here with my fiance...I would have gone
insane back in my own country wondering what was happening. Our prayers go out for
everyone who's lives are touched by this....I feel so much personal sadness.... I
thought of Elaine and Mahesh too..on their way home.I wonder how they will fare. Am
just glad to be here...just sad all this ever happened. alpona

A few weeks ago my husband suggested that we take our family on vacation next summer
to Washington DC - now I'm not so sure I want to go there, or to any large vacation
place. Take Care. Shelley
