Aren't you and your wife the couple who were waiting for an answer from Boston INS about their AOS because your wife inadvertently told the DAO about a blessings' ceremony in her country?

If so, what was the outcome of this drama

Rita,

Indeed, we are still in limbo. We recently visited an attorney because our
inquiries and letters have gone unaddressed. We were told by a friend of the
family that these 'researches' can take as much as five years? Almost one
year later, we are told only that her AOS is 'pending.' Distressingly, we
were told by a friend of the family that these 'researches' can take as much
as five years?

In the meantime, Miglena has begun a graduate program here in Boston.

All I can think to say is what Charles Augustus Milverton, the master
blackmailer, said when Dr. Watson asked Milverton what he thought of a
portrait of one of his victims, 'Disaster.'

But thank you for the query. It is most appreciated. How are you and yours
these days?

George and Miglena

We are fine here. Thought of you this pass weekend as we were in Boston.

Jim's still going to the Guard twice a week since they were told to stand down and life in NYC goes on. People are bitching and moaning about the government settlement to them and the releases they are asked to sign if they accept the monies. And others are starting to sue the city, the state, the airlines, etc., so life is back to normal.

Look forward to one day very soon hearing the good news from you about a successful conclusion to this saga.

Rita,

What brought you to Boston? I guess there will be similar outcomes her ein
Boston, since Logan is considered the nidus of New York's calamity.

In terms of a conclusion, I too look forward to the resolution we want.

Since Jim is 'standing down,' has his life returned to normal as well?

George

We went to Lake George on the 14th to celebrate Valentine's Day where we were married and the next day went to Boston for a four day weekend.

As for Jim's "standing down", as a retired military career man (36 yrs) "standing up" was the norm for him and the "standing down" is a big disappointment. But then again, he still has to report in twice a week ... Tuesday evenings from 3:30 p.m. til 10:00 p.m. and all day Saturday's. So he is a happy camper on those days ;-)
