I don't think anyone's do - you've just spotted mine. My posts don't *always* appear
on my own ISP newsfeed!

Andy.

Exactly Expats misses up on a lot of posts but for posters it ranks you and that Ingo fellow as top ranking no shows ;-)))

I dislike google for the simple reason it takes 3 to 9 hours for a post to appear on it. My ISP newsgroups sucks big time and nothing that I post on it appears on either expats or google.

For what it is worth I use a German news server. You have to register but
registration is free and then after that you can access it with Outlook Express or
whatever other newsreader you use. To my knowledge it has never been down and posts
appear on it within minutes if not seconds. It is at www.news.cis.dfn.de

There are free newsservers that allow posting. What I find odd about your posts is
that, usually, none of the text you're replying to is quoted in your reply. This can
make it difficult to read the threads you participate in. I guess this is a "feature"
of the website you post through(?)

Joe

I prefer it that way. I hate having to weed through a post for a reply/answer. It takes up too much room and is too long.

I set my preferences to not include the prior post and if I use google, I cut and delete.

I can see when it might be a problem for you, however, and my apologies.

As for free newsservers, tell me which one because I surely can't find any but the one from my ISP and Google.

Rita, did you see my answer earlier about the free German news server, it allows you
to post too.

Take a look at www.news.cis.dfn.de

It is an extremely fine service. I actually on the advice of a fellow newsgroup
poster use Newsguy. It cost $7 a month but more than worth it.
