Originl Birth Certificate

Re: Originl Birth Certificate
You can get copies from the local registry office same day and for less money, or you could 10 years ago. You can have someone else do this for you if you need to, I had my sister pick mine up.
It appears that this is still the case, at lease in Leicester. Look up your local registry.

Re: Originl Birth Certificate
Just receieved the certificate.
It's basically a copy of the birthday certificate which is printed in the middle of A4 paper.
Underneath it states:
The date of the copy and that it's certified to be a true copy.
Underneath however it states:
WARNING: A CERTIFICATE IS NOT EVIDENCE OF IDENTITY.
Are we sure this is all I will need?

Late to the comments here, but I needed this for my GC and used the GRO for it - proved to be fast, efficient and yes, when they say next day, delivery to the US took a little longer than that, but it still got here quick!
I had issues with my wife's though - make sure you can actually lookup and get the correct ones. If they consider it too vague, they will refuse to deliver it (happened to me), so had to narrow the search and be more specific on a few details. Once we did that, we got it sorted and they sent over. Sounds suspicious there I know, but change of names and incorrect information provided to her meant we weren't 100% on a few aspects. Easily resolved though.
