Default Shipping individual items of furniture

Hi,

I did a search and have read Ozzidoc's post about shipping but as its a few year old now, I wanted to ask which shipping companies people have found to be the best/cheapest more recently?

We want to ship an arm chair and a large wooden chest from the US to the UK.

Thanks in advance 😊

If you can get them secured to a pallet, ship them by consolidated container freight is (relatively) cheap and simple. I've just moved some specialised car parts and #2 son's rucksack of 6 month old laundry back using "Transglobal Express" who have a very nice online quote system, and helpful chat system.

All up price for 70kg of freight, on and 80 x 120 x 70 cm pallet, door to door is around 300 quid.
