I just migrated to US from Australia, and I would like to open a foreign currency
account in Australian dollar here in US. However, I asked several US banks and they
said they don't have this kind of service. Does anyone know of any US bank has this
option? I am in Minneapolis.

Thanks Jenny

Some of the international banks like American express or citibank who have offices in
a particular country may have some service like that.

Why not open an on-line account with an Australian bank in Australia?

Do you have an account in Australia that you could convert into an on-line account?

Try opening an account with a Bank like Barclays that also sells travelers checks in
the US through credit unions etc. thereby gaining access to the A T M network and
your account . It can be in either dollars or pounds ,as you wish and in some cases
the checks are free.

May the Lord bless you and keep you safe, From Ranger-Dave Robinson.

With dangerous crackers like me on the loose, I won't trust any of my money on
the internet.
