As the oldies have been called rude
Just thought as someone who has lingered around these forums for a little while that it seems to me some of the recent joiners this year are as Del Boy would say plonkers. The oldies might be accused of being rude but just lately they are been a spate of arrogant postings, by newish members, starting arguments for no reason at all.

You both have clearly not grasped the fact that we are a free public service.

Re: As the oldies have been called rude
I'm a relative newbie, (3 months now!) but I just wanted to say that I value the forum, its members and I don't think people are rude on here; when I have felt down and worried I have been reassured by the helpful, sometimes forthright, and friendly nature of people, both old and new. I have felt very welcome here on the whole.
I think what happens is that when people are going through the process, sometimes they find it difficult to detach the emotions from what they practically need to do to achieve their aim. Sometimes their aim is not even grounded in reality (you know, all the posts with 'have a go at moving to America as I am a plumber' type deals), and then they get upset when someone gives them the reality of the situation.
Anywho, just a nod of appreciation to the 'oldies' from a relative 'noob' who hopefully wants to stick around for a while

Just having a bit of fun on Black Friday with some recent posts which seem to assume most of us having been in a cave since we got here, and living in ignorant bliss as to what really is happening.
