OK Girls...Question.
I recently found out I am pregnant (second child) and today I think I had my first craving... Cadbury's Old Jamica chocy
With my daughter one of the things I craved were Scampi and Lemon Nik Naks... so I had my parents mail me some over... my hubby tried one and almost threw up LOL I ended up having to eat them outside because he couldn't stand the smell.
Anyhow my question... what did you crave during pregnancy?
Ash

for both I craved sweet and sour things, so virgin piña coladas and daiquiris were a staple. During my last pregnancy I nearly lived off peanut butter on crackers.... I had a carton of single-serving packets next to my bed (on total bed rest nearly from the beginning).

I craved pickles and icecream not together though luckily. I would even get up in the middle of the night and gorge on big fat pickles.

I'm on my fourth pregnancy......
First pregnancy i craved coffee which i don't usually drink so i had quite a bit of decaffeinated coffee. Also, not a craving but weird for me I couldn't stand the taste or smell of chicken.
Second pregnancy i craved Cherry slurpees and drank them almost every day!!
With my last pregnancy last year i didn't really have many cravings but I always want chocolate no matter if i'm pregnant or not!! lol
This pregnancy which is almost over i haven't really had any craving again.
This is my last pregnancy because i'm getting my tubes tied but I will have two ameribrit babies...how exciting!!
Carey
p.s. good question Ash

Congratulations on your pregnancy Ash!!!!
With the first pregnancy I craved anything and everything!
Second and third pregnancies - no cravings that I can think of though I thoroughly enjoyed eating fish and spicy foods with the last one.

Yeah, congratulations Ash!
I only had cravings for the first prenancy, not the second. Cheesy Wotsits and big juicy tomatoes. Couldn't eat a Wotsit for years afterwards though.

With my first I had a craving for ice, more specifically the ice that forms on the inside of the freezer, I would be sitting there scraping it off with a knife at all times of the night and day
With my second it was weetabix and my third, curry or anything spicy.
Congrats on the baby

Congrats on the pregnancy Ash!
With my first I craved peanuts, I got to the point I was eating about a pound a day. I didn't gain any weight though as I was vomiting so much throughout that pregnancy that I probably could have eaten several pounds of nuts and still not gained I also liked Longley Farm black cherry yoghurt with Maltesers in it, and a packet of Seabrook spring onion crisps. The three flavours combined were fab, although obviously I know they sound awful.
With my second baby I had a real thing for ham and pineapple pizza and a strawberry milkshake, it had to be a really thick milkshake and hubby took to mixing the Angel Delight mix with ice cream to get it just the way I liked it.
With my third I had to have ribena and a cadbury's twirl every day, I had to have the two together.
With my fourth I wanted chinese food, all the time. I could have eaten it for breakfast. I liked the high flavour, in fact all of my cravings were things with a lot of flavour. I remember finding everything else at the time very tasteless and bland.

Re: OK Girls...Question.
First daughter - Granny Smith apples and Victoria Plums BY THE POUND. Second daughter - Branston Pickle (I'd eat it right out of the jar like Bridget Jones). Third daughter - Jelly Doughnuts and Maltezers! First & second pregnancies were in the UK so I had no problems satisfying my cravings. The second pregnancy was in New Hampshire so I had to have my family ship me the Branston Pickle. Not that it takes much for me to crave Branston Pickle - just slap some butter on bread and then slather on the Branston, best sandwich in the world. On the odd occasion I've actually been known to put some cheese in it too
