Obtaining a J1 Waiver
I have a question on the J1 waiver for all you immigration experts out there:
If one comes to the US on a J1 visa, first of all when does the 2 year rule apply and if it does apply is it possible to apply for a J1 waiver and then move on to another visa ? - I ask as my brother (doctor) has recently been offered a job in a hospital in the US and was told he would only get sponsorship for a J1 visa with 2 year requirment. This has put him off coming and I would greatly like him to join me out here !....
