About a year ago I found a great site online for CanExpats. Register and you sign up for the FREE CRA (Canadian Residents Aboard) magazine. They are great for information on tax filing, what to do before you leave Canada, what to do before you return, how to handle capital gains and money you are bringing back to Canada, etc.
Also the question is asked over and over again about health insurance for Canadians who come to the US before marriage and/or before they are covered at work. CRA has a full size ad for coverage by IMG Global Medical Insurance.
