Default Which NYC suburb is akin to Hammersmith, London?

Hi,

Can someone advice which area in NYC is akin to Hammersmith/Chiswick/Richmond area in west London? - Safe, residential, easy/close commute to city, modern, and not too expensive. Thanks!

I used to live in Richmond, now live in NYC.
To answer your question, nowhere in NYC is remotely similar to Chiswick, Hammersmith or Richmond. At all.

Bummer. What's NYC missing? I live in Chiswick - safe, affordable, close to the park, and easy access to district/piccadilly line straight to city. Finding it hard to find somewhere in NY that fits all the criteria.

I used to live near South Ealing, but sadly I find much of NYC lacking in terms of easy Piccadilly Line access. I often ponder what those urban planners were thinking.

If you can afford to live in Park Slope your options have just opened up considerably.
