As per others, I think lessons are unnecessary, and will likely just increase the OP's stress and anxiety level. Get back in the car and drive, perhaps firstly in the evening or at a quiet time of day.

Which is false. Lots of RTC's are deliberately caused on purpose. 'Crash for cash' anyone?

I've wanted those for some time. How's your setup, like recording device etc? Make sure you have the date/time recorded in the images.

I have a pair of these:

I'll dig out the footage of a person failing to stop at a yield earlier this week tonight if it still exists. Nearly crashed straight into me! But welcome to Boston, arsehole moronic drivers everywhere.

The thought of an American offering classes on how to drive I find laughable. Such is the disdain I have for the driving ability here.

One American lady told me that her husband's driving drives her mad because he keeps switching lanes. 'I keep telling him...choose a lane and stay in it'.

My driving instructor is Romanian.

And he's very good indeed.

So, I don't have the citation on my at the moment so can't remember the wording etc. I'll double check but I don't think I can just pay it online and not go to court, there is a day and time written on it when I have to show up. The court is the Municipal Court on Garnett St.

Basically what happened is this....I was stopped at a junction waiting to go left and was behind a couple of cars also in the turn left lane. We got our green filter arrow and the first car pulled off, all the traffic coming the other way (which was all in 1 lane, 1 lane was empty) was stopped. Anyway as I was pulling across a guy in a pickup came straight through in the empty lane and 't-boned' me. Still no one in the other lane had moved. I said I had the green turn left light. He said he had a green. And I got a ticket for failure to yield. I'm not sure if anything happened to him. Anyway yeah, no one was hurt. My neck is kinda messed up from the seatbelt, but that's the worst of it.
Honestly, I don't know. I'm not going to contest, I just want it done with. Maybe I did go through just as my green arrow went off, but shouldn't there be a bit of a delay before the other traffic comes flying through? I feel like, if he did have the green, he would only just have got it, and he was already going at a speed where there was no chance he was stopping for that light.

I definitely didn't do it on purpose.

Does he drive a Caddy? :sneaky:

The four lane (two each direction) I was driving on was backed up a little this morning because of a slow-moving car the right lane. It was being driven by a small woman who appeared to be in her 50's. The car in question? A 1980's Corvette, a red one.

I hope you've had a doctor examine you and had it written on your medical records. If not do it straightaway.

Yes, I was attempting to avoid having to get in the ambulance that was called to the scene, but they took one look at it and slapped a collar on me and carted me off. So it's all been checked out. The other guy was fine. No injuries and did not go to the hospital.

It's true i am a VERY committed non-driver and the longer I live in ATL the more committed I become to not getting behind the wheel in GA.

Glad you've been checked out and seem OK

Yeah, there should be at least a few seconds before the opposite direction gets the green. Some people have got off tickets for not making it across the intersection before the red because the yellow phase wasn't long enough to meet minimum requirements so they obviously vary - but even so.

And this is also why you don't immediately hit the accelerator when slowing for a red light that changes to green. You never know what's trying to beat the red light. (I'm not saying this is what happened here)

If you were definitely on a green arrow (protected left turn) the opposing traffic will always be on a red. Depending on the way the signal is configured for through traffic, either a yellow arrow or ball must follow the termination of the green arrow. The opposing traffic will only get a green after the termination of the yellow clearance interval.

Either you were late making your turn, the other party jumped the red, or the traffic signals are incorrectly configured.
