Newbie Calling!
Hello everybody!
My name's Rick and I live in Lynchburg VA, been here since 2003 and have my Green Card.
My American wife and I are in the planning stages of building our own home here in VA and have discovered that brickies here are rarer than hens' teeth -same goes for anyone who can slate a roof. We are going to need both of those and hoped there may be ex-pat slaters and bricklayers looking for some work in the near future.
I'd appreciate hearing from anyone with those skills, and I'd appreciate anyone just saying 'Hello!' too, of course.
Cheers!
Rick

Hello and welcome to the site
Everyone seems preoccupied with the death of Steve Irwin today.

I'm sure you've probably tried this, asking neighbours if they can recommend anyone. Another idea might be a drive round of your area to see if there are company boards up outside properties being roofed, walls being built etc. Hopefully someone out here will have help for you. Good luck
