I've just had a phone call from my husband (in London) to tell me that he's just checked the lottery results to participate in the New York Marathon in November....and he's won a place.

He is absolutely delighted...it will be his first ever marathon, although he's recently completed a couple of half-marathons.

Is anyone else running in it this year?

Me run a marathon??? I think those days are well passed. I do a lottery but its not for the chance to run 26 miles. Its for the chance to have people run around after me.
