New York City & British people

Hi all,

I am doing a project on New York City and in particular the British in New York.

I am finding it difficult to find basic facts online. I was wondering if anyone here could help me out?

I just need to find stuff such as, roughly how many British people live in New York City? What British events go on in the City?
Don't really need that specific answers, just if anyone has any clue I would be very greatfull of any help.

Thank you very much.

An area of NY is affectionately known as Little Britain:

OP: the data won't be that accurate, but you might want to look through the US Census website and identify the section that deals with foreign-born residents of New York State. It will at least give you a pointer.

Hey now - I joined this site due to a grad school project! Try finding a British expat living in the US in one week's time when you live in Ohio. ;)

There's a Scottish restaurant that does magic with potatos...I think they're called McDonald's.

I bumped into about five in the pub across the street from where I work last Friday. And played Buzztime Trivia with one in the local bar round the corner from my house last night.

I can't escape the buggers!

Yes but do you pronounce it Mick-Donalds or Mac-Donalds... an arguement I have got into many a time with the locals!
