Hi everyone,
my husband has to get a new UK passport (no more spaces in his due to high amount of travel)
do you know how long it will take to have a new one AND transferring his H1b (which is currently attached to his soon to be ex passport)?

If you have a valid visa in an expired passport you just have to carry the expired passport with the new one when you travel. You do not transfer the visa into your new passport.

the passport has not expired, he just has no places left for stamps and need a china visa which he cant have without any blank pages. woudl that still work?

It's the same thing, you bring both passports. The old passport gets the corner cut when it is replaced.

I know. I was saying it is just the same thing as if the passport had expired, in this instance it makes no difference that the passport hasn't expired. It's still clipped, the visa is still valid, you still need to bring the old and new passport with you.

It might be worth him getting 2 passports. He needs a letter from his company explaining his high volume of travel and them he'll be issued 2. Works well when one pp needs to be mailed for a visa etc.
