I almost hesitate to mention this one, as they are evil:scaredhair::devil_smile:; but if you travel much- there is a Walmart within 20 miles of just about anywhere you will ever go. If you buy the Tire Protection Plan, mounting, balancing etc comes with- as does lifetime rotations/balancing and their guarantee...which is nice when you have a flat in Bumflock Indiana, far far from home. Prices are excellent as well.

except for some parts of Maine where you might have to go 40 miles :lol:

Douglas tires sold by the 'evil empire' are fairly cheap, made by Goodyear but IMO not the same quality as 'real' Goodyear tires. :thumbdown:

Now that you mention it, a mechanic buddy of mine told me that Sam's Club have an "own brand" tire that is really one of the premium ones, yet costs (relatively) bugger all.

Must ask him which one it is.

The codes on the side of the tire will reveal who manufactured the tire and the year and place of manufacture following "DOT."
