Default New Pension Rules On Lump Sums

Hi Everyone

This is my first post so be gentle

On 6 April 2017 new legislation came in that means that lump sum US pension income is now taxable to UK residents.

If the US taxes this too is a foreign tax credit available, or like normal pension payments, do you need to claim the US tax back on your US return?

You are asking people living in the US about UK taxes. Perhaps the UK Yankee forum might be a better place to ask.
