new passport

Does anyone know how you go about applying for new British passport?
Is it done in the UK or from the US side?
Thanks
Claire

hi. Britainusa.com has all the info. you just have to send the papers to Washington. the papers can be downloaded from the site.

It's very straightforward - I got my new one along with the old one, (corner cut to prevent use) in just ten days. :)

I renewed my passport in February or March this year. It only took two weeks from the date I mailed my application and expired passport to the day I received the new one and the cancelled old one.

This subject was covered earlier this year in this forum. Please search for threads on "UK passport", "renewal".

I need to do the same thing myself in the next couple of months. This site should be all you need.
