New Orleans at Christmas

Re: New Orleans at Christmas
Thank you all for your advice and comments. We had a wonderful time, but were exhausted by the time we came home
We did: buggy tour of the French district, Steam Boat (Natchez), Laura Plantation and a Swamp Tour.
Dinner highlights: Italian Barrel on Christmas Day, The Bombay Club on Christmas Eve.
Drinking highlights: Pimms Cups everywhere, how civilized and not having to neck your drink before going into the next bar (on Bourbon anyway).
Drinking low: the frozen sugary mess that is the Grenade, bleugh.
We also did lots of walking, including Armstrong Park and along the river. More bars than I can remember. It was the New Orleans Bowl, so the town was a sea of Ragin' Cajuns all dressed in red. We even squeezed in a visit to the casino where I magicked my $20 into $100
The only thing I wished we had done was a cemetery tour. We were close to #1, but I read the advice that said that you're asking to be mugged if you go alone, so we didn't.
