Question New and need help. Moving my British hubby to US

Hi all,

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this and help.

I'm American and moved to the UK 2 years ago (ILR in person appointment is December 9th!). After much discussion my husband and I are planning on moving back to the US. My parents own a business and have since I was born. They are now considering selling it, but I would like to run the business myself- a dream that I've always had.

So, I am looking for general advice regarding the following so I have an idea and can really discuss all of this further...

- Which visa do we apply for? I'm assuming the "Green Card". I've had a read on the State Department site but there is so much information and my brain is a bit overloaded at the moment.

-How much does the visa cost and how long does it take to get?

-Any of the Americans that may be in my situation... was it a problem re-establishing yourself as far as credit goes?

- Once my husband has the "Green Card" can he work immediately?

- Moving your home... any ideas or guesses on cost on moving a 2 bedroom house? I'm assuming I need a container...

- Anything in general I should know? Any surprises you had along the journey? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi...welcome to BE.

It would be best if you post all questions about the immigration process in the US Marriage Visa Forum. The people who post in that forum will help you with your immigration/visa questions.
